6 Steps to Choosing Your Perfect "Stroke Of Brilliance"

Every putter purchase involves some choices, and that’s especially true with a Gemspot Putter. Follow these steps and you’ll have a putter that you will love, will love you back, and will become a cherished family heirloom!

  1. Choose your putter style. A common choice with tour professionals and amateurs are the blade putters, which are heel-toe weighted and suit players who have an in-to-out stroke. An alternative choice is the face-balanced mallet putter, suited for players who prefer a straight back, straight through stroke.

  2. Choose your gemstone. Would you like your birthstone, or perhaps the birthstones of your children? A match for the stones in your wedding ring? A favorite jewelry stone? Signature color? Something that would have elegant, universal appeal for clients? A stone said to have a particular property? Take a look at the 28 options in our Gemspot Gallery and on our price list and make your decision.

  3. Determine your length. Our recommendations based on height: 4'8" to 5' = 32" putter; 5'1" to 5'4" = 33" putter; 5'4" to 5'8" = 34" putter; 5'9" to 6' = 35" putter. But a good rule of thumb is to measure the length of your favorite putter and stick with it. By the way, we do custom putters to accommodate the long and the short.

  4. If you are ordering a blade, decide on whether you would also like a gem bar. If not, you can always order one later.

  5. Consider whether you would like to take your grip a step or two up the luxury scale. Our standard grip is the Winn Al Excel Midsize Blue/Black Polymer Grip. You can upgrade to leather, or even silky, supple and colorful blue eel leather.

  6. If your putter is 34 inches or shorter, add the luxurious touch of a cherry-colored box.

That’s it! Now you’re ready to order!
